For this shawl I used two different kinds of wool. The warp, the threads that run vertically, is yarn that was originally natural color and I hand dyed using plants from my yard. The weft, the horizontal threads, is yarn that I hand spun and hand dyed with yellow onion skin and carrot leaves, and a little dipped in an iron solution.
When I look at it, it makes me think of a field of wheat, basking in the sun, and that is the feeling I hope you can get when you wrap yourself in this beauty.
